Inflammatory bowel disease has an important microbial component. We developed some of the first zebrafish enterocolitis models, which we will now combine with our microbe identification program.
The gut and skin are exposed to infections that beneficial microbes can prevent through numerous mechanisms. We will bring our expertise with zebrafish infection models to identify microbes that can prevent infection.
