PhD students

Earn a PhD from NTU or NUS with the support of A*STAR to continue a career in science after graduation.

Competitive 4 year scholarships are available through A*STAR graduate scholarships for domestic and international students. While a training background with zebrafish is an advantage, it is a simple system to learn and you will be in the lab in no time at all!

Visiting PhD students - 2 year placements

Work for up to 2 years in our cutting edge facilties on your PhD project, graduate from your home university. The A*STAR Research Attachment Programme (ARAP) is set up to support collaborative international PhDs to perform significant chunks of research (1-2 years) in an A*STAR laboratory.

Other institutions

Applicants from non-Partner Universities are covered by the ARAP-Individual scheme, which works at a researcher-to-researcher level of collaboration and does not require a formal agreement.
